Master Li Hongzhi is the brilliant founder and leader of Falun Gong. Why then, is this spiritual master on the “MOST WANTED” list of the Chinese CCP? The practice of Falun Gong teaches the Qi energy currents and fluids of the body to cycle and move in harmony with the universe, in order to promote balanced health. Once this flow is established in the meridians, then it is possible for a person to work, to study, and to have a family all at the same time. (Like, you know, a “normal” life in the modern world.) Wow! That’s amazing! I believe Master Li Hongzhi is a sublime example of greatness, a true human being. He no longer lives in China, his whereabouts are unknown, and his Falun Gong groups worldwide continue to practice. Who is this dedicated and fearless man? (See introductory video.)
Falun Dafa is based on the golden principle of Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) in daily life. Falun Gong gained great popularity since 1999 and was imported worldwide. But the practice was strongly suppressed by the CCP Chinese Communist Party. Practitioners of Falun Gong are known for excellent health, and have been a target in kidnapping for lucrative organ trafficking. According to some practitioners: “Chinese citizens who practice Falun Gong live under constant threat of abduction and torture. Even the name of the practice, its founder Mr. Li Hongzhi, and a wide assortment of similar names are among the most censored terms on the Chinese internet. Any mention of these names in state-run media or by Chinese diplomats is inevitably couched in demonizing labels.” Millions of Falun Gong practitioners have been threatened, abducted, or killed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Learn About the Universe in this 9-Session Lecture:
How To Start Cultivating in Falun Dafa
At the core of Falun Dafa are the three principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance (or in Chinese, Zhen 真, Shan 善, Ren 忍). Falun Dafa teaches that these are the most fundamental qualities of the universe, and takes them to be a guide for daily life and practice. By practicing Falun Dafa, not only will you benefit yourself but also others.
Falun Dafa can be translated as “The Great Way of the Law Wheel.” There are no religious formalities, each person can have his or her own understanding of how to cultivate morality based on the 3 principles.
To guarantee that you can establish a solid foundation on your path of self-cultivation, please read Zhuan Falun after you’ve finished Falun Gong. It’s the main book of Falun Dafa, and can guide your cultivation to higher levels. Diligent practitioners make an effort to read a bit of this book every day.
In addition to the books Falun Gong and Zhuan Falun, there are several other books that compile the lectures, writings, and poems by Master Li Hongzhi—the founder of Falun Dafa. You can read these in any order.
- Essentials for Further Advancement
- Hong Yin (The Grand Verses)
- Explaining the Content of Falun Dafa
- The Great Way of Spiritual Perfection
- Guiding the Voyage
- More Falun Dafa Auxiliary Books
NOTE: All Falun Dafa books and exercise instructions (video and audio) can be downloaded free of charge at www.FalunDafa.org. That being said, reading books in print is highly recommended due to its comprehensive effect. Reading physical books, especially Falun Dafa texts, can calm the mind and keep you focused.
You are welcome to join any practice site to do the exercises. They are spread out across over 100 countries and regions, and you can look for one near you. Falun Dafa students at every site, including at Tianti Bookstore, always teach the exercises for free.
Master Li has stated that he believes extraterrestrial aliens from other dimensions walk the Earth and are responsible for introducing AI technology, war, and immorality. Li says that he is a being who has come to help humankind from the destruction it could face as the result of this evil. Master Li’s books below describe the nature of the universe, and how the human body can harmonize with the universe for perfect health.
“The Man with the Qi – His spiritual movement has galvanized millions in China. But Li Hongzhi has more on his mind”
by David Van Biema (“Time Magazine”, vol. 153, no. 18, May 10, 1999)
The tall man with flashing brown eyes sat in a Manhattan apartment and chatted about wheels and extraterrestrials. As an associate translated, Li Hongzhi, 48, discoursed with TIME’s William Dowell on the manipulation, for physical and spiritual betterment, of circles of internal energy called qi. Suddenly, however, conversation veered to a topic Li has thus far broached to none but his inner circle: aliens on earth. “One type of alien looks like a human but has a nose made of a bone,” he confided; others resemble ghosts. The extraterrestrials, who arrived circa 1900, have not been idle. “Everyone thinks that scientists invent on their own,” said Li, “when in fact their inspiration is manipulated by the aliens.” The aliens intend to replace all humans with clones, he added. “In terms of culture and spirit, they already control men.”
There are plenty of New Yorkers with equally unusual theories. But Li is the only one with millions of followers, thousands of whom took to the Beijing streets a week ago, sending a shudder through a shocked Chinese leadership.
For 12 hours, more than 10,000 devotees planted themselves eight-deep on the sidewalk surrounding the nation’s Zhongnanhai government compound, demanding that their Falun Gong sect, led by Li, receive status as a permitted group. The silent sit-in was by far the boldest protest in Beijing since the butchering of the pro-democracy movement almost exactly a decade ago. And the regime’s response was just as stunning. Rather than attack, it granted leaders an audience with Premier Zhu Rongji.
The protest introduced the world to a mystical movement little known outside Asia. China, once devoted to Confucianism and then to Maoism, is experiencing a vacuum of faith and values. The creed most successful in filling it since “freedom of religion” was announced in 1979 has been Buddhism. But others, from illegal Christian “house churches” to witchery, have also flourished. Falun Gong is a variant of Qi Gong, a blend of mind and body work (it also includes Tai Chi) that strives to harness an energy called qi. Qi Gong does not always rise to the intensity of faith, but charismatic “grand masters” have built up formidable followings on its principles.
Most formidable is Li’s. In an interview weeks before the Beijing demonstration, he explained to TIME that he began studying Qi Gong at age 4 with masters “in the mountains,” probably in Manchuria. In 1992 he went public with an amalgam of Qi Gong, Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism aimed at moral rejuvenation and a spiritual “cultivation,” culminating in supernatural powers and “freedom from the worldly state.” (Asked if he is a human being from earth, Li replied, “I don’t wish to talk about myself at a higher level. People wouldn’t understand it.”) His regimen, promoted through books, tapes and videos, was wildly popular, eventually attracting a reported 60 million adherents–4 million more than the Communist Party.
The party, inevitably, took note. It repeatedly refused to approve Falun Gong conventions, and a year ago, Li left China at the apparent urging of authorities. He was hardly friendless upon arrival in the U.S.: in 1996 Houston’s mayor proclaimed a Li Hongzhi Day–and there are Falun Gong chapters in eight countries and 21 American states. Li’s finances seem robust, although it’s unclear how much control he has over his organization.
That includes the Beijing protest. A deputy for Li, who was in Australia last week, told Time, “He had nothing to do with the demonstrations in China. They were spontaneous.” Indeed, on the day of the protest, a visibly annoyed Premier Zhu received four delegates from the sect and reportedly demanded, “Who is your leader?” “We are all leaders,” one replied. Zhu handed the group off to his Complaints Bureau for judgment on the issue of the group’s official status and its other concern, the arrest of five members at an earlier regional demonstration.
The government’s task is delicate. Zhu, painfully aware of the Tiananmen anniversary, recently ordered authorities to refrain from “crude” crackdowns on social unrest. The group, however, may be harmless to the regime. Li insists that “I want to teach people to be good, not to be involved in politics.” Yet historically, secret societies and spiritual masters have challenged, and even toppled, Chinese dynasties, and President Jiang Zemin has stressed a need to “suppress cults and the use of religion to engage in illegal activities.”
By Wednesday the government seemed to opt for a fairly hard line. It stepped up surveillance on Falun Gong members and called the demonstration “completely wrong.” For now, Li’s followers’ decision to take to the streets appears to have backfired, and aliens had nothing to do with it.
REPORTED BY JAIME A. FLORCRUZ/BEIJING
Li Hongzhi lectures on different topics such as: homosexuality, Aliens and more!
Question: Why is homosexuality considered immoral?
Teacher: Think about it, everyone: Is homosexuality human behavior? Heaven created man and woman. What was the purpose? To procreate future generations. A man being with a man, or a woman with a woman – it doesn’t take much thought to know whether that’s right or wrong. When minor things are done incorrectly, a person is said to be wrong. When major things are done incorrectly, it’s a case of people no longer having the moral code of human beings, and then they are unworthy of being human.
…Some people who have sinned can have their karma eliminated through the death of the physical body and suffering, and then they’ll be free of that karma when they reincarnate. Their lives don’t really die and they reincarnate again. But the karma that some people have accrued is too much, in which case the fundamental elements of their existence will be implicated and destroyed. Homosexuals not only violate the standards that gods set for mankind, but also damage human society’s moral code.
Li on Interracial Marriage
…Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong holds that the offspring of cross-race marriage or the “hybrid” is a rootless and aberrant race which marks the extreme morality corruption of human beings in the world today. He says the half-breed – “mongrel” is a plot of aliens. He further explains that the half-breed is a plot of aliens aiming at sabotaging the link between human being and paradise. “The aliens mix up different human races and keep them away from gods,” Li said in Switzerland. He also enumerated 10 kinds of “evils”: the half-breed, gays and lesbians, computer users, tradition disrupters, democracy adherents as well as “science worshipers,” etc.
“In the reincarnation process it is the main soul that reincarnates, whereas what has mixed blood is the flesh body. Different gods created their own different peoples, and in history those gods have all along been taking care of the people they themselves created. White people are white people, black people are black people, and people of the yellow race are people of the yellow race. Any ethnicity in the world is a race that corresponds with the heavens. After mixing blood people no longer have their correspondence to the gods in the heavens.
“The way alien beings get human beings to shake free other gods is to mix the races, causing human beings to become rootless people, just like the plant hybrids people make nowadays. South Americans, Central Americans, Mexicans and some people in South East Asia – all of these races have been mixed. None of this can evade the gods’ eyes. Alien beings have made rather extensive preparations for overtaking human beings.”
-Li Hongzhi, Leader of Falun Gong
LI ON THE ALIEN CONSPIRACY
“(Alien beings) want to steal it. They saturate all domains of humankind with science to make human beings firmly believe in science and rely on it. When human beings’ thoughts and way of existence are completely assimilated to theirs, they just have to replace people’s souls and humans will become them, and they will eventually replace the human race…
